Quilt Guild BOM UFO from Podunk Pretties

Obviously I'm having trouble getting back into the swing of blogging.  So let's try this restart once again.

September's Block from Quilt Doodle Doodles

September crept up on me yesterday, I had no idea that today was September 1st until I looked at my calendar! I really don't know what happened to summer, it just flew by. Kids will be back to school tomorrow and it really seems like summer break was just yesterday! My mom retired from her school lunchroom job just this year, so this is the first time in 35 years that she doesn't have to get up to go make the cookies for the kids. I know the kids will miss grandma's cookies, she makes them from ...

Lori Holt Fabric 2 Bucks A Block from Podunk Pretties

 It's time to play catch up.  I'm six months behind on this Lori Holt fabric block of the month from my local quilt shop, Back Door Quilts.  


This block of the month is extra challenging for me since it requires Thangles.  The challenge is all in my head.  Silly reasons like...#1 the cost of Thangles...$7 is not going to break the bank. 


#2  Ripping off the paper...which takes almost no time.


Since I like working with starched fabric it took me a little longer to prep my precut fabrics.
